Its so amazing how Malacanang justifies her lavish expenses when in fact Filipinos in the US are having a tough time to meet both ends. These congressmen are simply not showing respect for our hard earned money.
Speaker Nograles was trying to justify and look into the accounts of those "dinner sponsors" directly showing us that they can afford to lavishly treat the President and her entourage to dinner. But from where did they get that money? Most of it for sure are from the tax payers like us.
Right now, when going out for dinner, all we can afford is a chinese buffett of $20.00. I hardly heard fillipino families spend so lavishly for dinner. $20,000 is simply scandalous and not acceptable.
I wonder what these government officials are thinking? They simply don't have respect and guts to be simply.
As Conrado de Quiros would say, "May araw din kayo."
